This group caters for those wishing to write autobiography, memoir, biography, family history, life story for family and local history. Established in 2002 by Mardi May, the group publishes regular anthologies for members to showcase their work.
A workshop is presented on a relevant topic during the first hour of the meeting and homework invited on the subject. The second hour offers opportunity for members to discuss their work and receive feedback on short pieces, with the goal of publication of the completed project.
During the year we host visiting writers experienced in our subject, and celebrate book launches by group members.
The Past Tense group provides a confidential space and fosters a respectful relationship between members.
