Emerging Writers Program 2024/25
Designed to support emerging adult writers from Perth working on a debut, full-length creative manuscript, this Program is a valuable opportunity offering specialised professional development and mentoring over a one-year period from July 2024. ​The Program was open to adult writers of any genre or form of poetry, fiction, short fiction collection, and creative non-fiction. The Program is not designed for illustrators or writers of children’s fiction, picture books or junior fiction. The Emerging Writers Program is generously funded by the State of Western Australia.

FOR PARTICIPANTS OF THE PROGRAM​
CABIN STAY:
KSP Writers' Centre will offer a 2-night weekend stay (Fri-Sun) in 2024 or 2025 within set dates outlined below.
2024: between October 11 and November 10
2025: between January 17 and February 17
KSP Stream Participants: FREE
All Other Program Participants: 40% off - $140 total.
Subject to availability, all participants will have the option to extend their weekend stay at the KSP Member discounted price - $72.50 per night.
Specific weekend dates are outlined below. KSP Stream participants will be getting the first choice.

EWP ROOM TO WRITE:
The writing room at the KSP Writers’ Centre will be open and available to the EWP program participants from 3:30pm until 7.30pm every Friday in 2024 and 2025 within set dates outlined below.
2024: between October 11 and November 10 - 5 sessions
2025: between January 17 and February 17 – 5 sessions
The participants are free to use the space to their discretion – Wi-Fi, whiteboard, aircon, heating, light refreshments (tea, coffee, biscuits) provided.
To ensure catering needs are met all participants will be provided an Eventbrite link for each week where they will be able to register their attendance.

WORKSHOP ATTENDANCE:
KSP Stream Participants will be welcome to attend any of our workshops during the program for free.
All other EWP participants will be welcome to attend workshops planned between October 11 and November 10 at the KSP member price regardless of their membership status.
